District Strategic Goal # 1: Health and Wellness - Create holistic approach to education through mind, body and spirit.

This week several teachers (and one administrator) were fortunate enough to attend Mindfulness Training with Zensational Kids: Educate 2B program. We learned strategies to create a positive and optimal learning environment where all are ready to engage in the active process of learning and build the muscle of focus.

News from our School Nurse - Mrs. Alessi

It’s that time of year: Although the flu (or influenza) usually causes symptoms that make someone feel worse than symptoms associated with a common cold, it's not always easy to tell the difference between the two. (See below!)

The important thing to remember is that flu symptoms can vary from child to child. The signs and symptoms can change as the illness progresses. If you suspect the flu, call the doctor. The most definitive way to determine the flu is to perform a rapid influenza diagnostic test (RIDTs). Children must be fever free for 24 hours (without fever reducing medication) to return to school.
