Warrior Beat
Student Focused-World Class
A Word from Holly...
We are nearing the end of the school-year...and the end of the year for me is a time of reflection...and here is what I have been thinking about...
In the end, we’re not here to teach, we’re here to change lives. We’re here to change minds. We’re here to shout encouragement to the masses. We are here to inspire confidence. We are here to inspire hope. We are here to convince those in our care that they matter and that they too have something worthwhile to contribute to this world.
You all have fought the good fight this year. I am deeply humbled when I think of the movement we have made as a school and more importantly the movement that students have made as a result of all of your hard work and care.
MOST of the time, our best work is not done in a stadium or auditorium filled with crowds, but in the hard working trenches of the classroom, the practice fields, or in small seemingly insignificant moments that can even occur in the hallways.
The public is often unaware of the significant difference made in these small moments, but oh how these moments matter! Most of the time, we don’t have anyone cheering us on or even seeing the epic accomplishments we make from day to day. But in the end, we change lives. It is what we do. We change lives....and it matters.
“There is some good in this world, and it's worth fighting for.”
― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Two Towers
Please watch the clip below...we carry on because like Sam, we know that our work is worth with fight!

Celebrations and Recognitions
*Thank you to all the teachers whose organization, planning, love and extra care for our students resulted in a very positive and memorable Washington DC field trip! This was an example of Sevier at its best.
*A big celebration to our students who attended our DC Trip. Everywhere we went in DC, people stopped us to compliment the behavior of our students. Many people who stopped us were even chaperones of other 8th grade field trips and they were amazed and the respectfulness and orderliness of our students. We also had compliments from every tour guide that we had and they continued to say how appreciative they were at the polite, friendly and respectful behavior of our students. We were VERY proud of all of our students.
*Another big thank you goes to our 8th grade teachers and 8th grade students who were at Sevier last week! You really stepped up to help our 6th Grade Orientation be the best ever!
