W2 Informaton & Address Changes
As 2019 draws to an end, employees who currently receive paychecks/stubs by U.S. Mail are reminded to have all address changes submitted to HR (either make changes through Employee Online Services or email HR/PY Notifications) no later than Tuesday, January 7, 2020.
Also, Payroll would like to remind employees of the opportunity to receive monthly pay stubs and/or W2s electronically through Employee Online Services (EOS). EOS gives you immediate access to view and update your tax and contact information as well as view current and past check stubs and W2s.
In the interest of both protecting your personal information and contributing to the overall efficiency and expense reduction of the District, please consider using the link provided below to “opt-in” to receiving monthly check stubs and/or W2s in electronic format: https://eos.beaverton.k12.or.us/ifas7/emponline/Default.aspx
Absence Mangement Log in Update
The HR and IT Departments have partnered together to allow employees to use their single sign-on username and password when signing into Absence Management.
This upgrade will require the systems to be down on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from approximately 10:00 a.m. through 12:30 p.m.
Please click on the image to the right for instructions on how to log in following the change.

Phishing Emails
Phishing Increase and Change to BSD Email Access
As we enter the holiday season, a recent report stated phishing activity has increased more than 400% from the first two weeks of November. For staff personally, attackers know online shopping increases and they design mock Amazon emails, text message giveaways, and other message designed to get our usernames, passwords, and even credit card information.
Cyber criminals also know that many school districts largely shut down over winter break so they are increasing their attacks against us as well. If you suspect any email of being a phish, please forward it to phishing@beaverton.k12.or.us so we can test. If it is a phish, we can automatically remove the message from all other mailboxes. In addition to protecting your account, forwarding it to IT could protect many others.
Many of our attacks come from machines located outside the United States. To make it more difficult for attackers to access any compromised account, we have implemented Geo-fencing on all Beaverton School District email accounts. This means that you will only be able to log into your email account from a location within the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii).
Many organizations have implemented Geo-fencing as one way to protect compromised accounts. It slows down the attackers ability to access the account, which gives us more time to identify the account and alert the staff member. If you will be traveling outside the United States and want to access email, simply put in an IT Help Desk ticket stating your destination and travel dates. We can create an exemption for you.
More information is available on our intranet page.
