New York State Board of Education approved a brief prayer at the start of each day. Steven Engel, father of two children in New Hyde Park schools objected. He filled suit against, William Vitale, head of school board.
School Can not Force Prayer on students. 1st amendment Forbids Establishment of a state religion.
Engle v. Vitale case has a social impact on students in school because all students may have different religions.
