Almost There...
Happy Friday, everyone! I hope that you are all doing well and that you had a great week!
Well, the finish line is in sight! Two weeks from today, I will be sending out my final newsletter of the school year. Before we get there; however, our students have important work to wrap up, celebrations are planned, and we are going to have some fun! In short, it's going to be a very busy two weeks.
This week's newsletter does not have a lot of new information - but there is still A LOT of IMPORTANT information, including some RSVPs that are needed. Please take a few minutes to go through each section so that you are up to date on what's happening at The Lake.
On the academic front, our teachers will be bringing closure to things next week. Because we will publish report cards on June 18th, our teachers will need to close out 4th marking period grades several days prior to that. I continue to remind students to monitor their grades in HAC. Hopefully they took advantage of the time provided today on our second-to-last at-home learning Friday.
On the COVID front, we had another VERY successful week with no cases of COVID from in-school exposure - FOUR weeks running! The COVID tracker is available on the District website and is updated each Friday.
As always, thank you for reading this weekly newsletter. I know that I will see many of you on Sunday when many of our students receive their second vaccine dose. Whatever you do, I hope that you have a wonderful weekend!

- June 11th - On the final at-home learning Friday.
- June 14th - If electing to attend Spartan Pride Day in-person.
- Any other day prior to June 17th.

Spartan Pride Day - Monday, June 14th
Spartan Pride Day will be held during the regular school day on Monday, June 14th. Each team in grades 6th, 7th, 8th is planning a day of fun activities - indoors and outdoors - to mark the end of the year. Each team will also recognize student award winners as part of the day's slate of activities. Students who are enrolled in the fully-virtual cohort have the option to attend for the day. If you would like for your child to have this opportunity, please complete this brief form. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from school on this day.
