HILL HAPPENINGS

Hill Elementary School ~ August 31, 2015

Dear Staff,

It's hard to believe that we are starting our third week of school already. The time is flying by. Tomorrow is our District 3-hour PD in the morning, followed by 3-hours of building PD time. The office will send out a Synrevoice at the end of the day reminding families that students do not have school tomorrow, Friday, or Monday of next week.

Please be sure that you let the office know of any scheduling changes or if you are leaving your classroom to go outside or to another classroom. This will help our office staff if we need to call a student down to the office. Additionally, keep in mind student allergies and medical conditions if going outside or distributing treats. If you have any questions at all, please let the office know.

I will be distributing a copy of the goals that you created at the end of last school year this week. Take time to look over your goals and be thinking about your student growth goal. I'd like to schedule goal meetings between September 21-30. Please schedule your meeting with Ranee. I'd also like a copy of everyone's daily schedule by the end of the week.

Have a wonderful week!

Jen :)

A few of the GREAT things that I noticed last week...

-A successful third & fourth grade curriculum night - Great job Suzie, Jodi, Michelle, Leigh Anne, Lisa, and Joe. Special thanks to Linda, Sandy, Christine, and Amanda for the child care and Julie for her assistance in the office.

-Thanks to Jodi for all of the assistance with the Math Packet Reward Day and data collection. Kudos to Lisa & Joe for supervising students for the extra recess! :)

-Students building their reading stamina throughout the building!

-Kudos to Joe for going above and beyond to make sure that classes who are missing Fridays are still getting in for that second gym time. Great job!

Celebrations and Announcments

Please join me in wishing Alicia Bartels best of luck. She will be with us for two more weeks! I have appreciated your leadership as a playground monitor and your "Kids first" attitude. Alicia, you will be missed.
