Adams Family newsletter
May 15 - May 19
From the Principal's Desk
Happy Mother's Day to all our mothers. We hope you enjoy your day, you all deserve it!
We can't wait to see families on Friday for Track & Field Day. I know that our students are getting excited to showcase their skills.
We have a few reminders that we would like to share with students and families as we finish out the school year. Many classes have time set aside for snack time. Please make sure students are coming to school with snack-size items. We have seen a significant increase in students bringing large bags of chips and Takis that are interfering with school routines. Thank you in advance for your help with this.
Another friendly reminder is if families are choosing to pick up their students, we need you to use the parent pick up lane. We realize the line can be long, but it moves fairly quickly. Staff are supervising students closely to ensure their safety and we cannot do this if parents are walking across the parking lot or having students run across the parking lot. Again, we want all students to remain safe so thank you in advance for helping us with this.
Let's have a great week!

Parent Advisory Council participation:
In order to continue to offer fun free events throughout the year, we'll need a little help from Adams families next year. We would love to have you join the board (we're fun, I promise!). You don't need any experience; you just have to want to make Adams even more awesome for our students and families.
If a board position sounds like too much to take on right now, we could use your help with some projects next year--social media management, community outreach coordination, outdoor classroom project management, grant writing, restaurant night coordination, and Family Fun night coordination.
5/17: Restaurant Night@ Jersey Mike's
4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. @ 5300 Central Ave NE; Fridley
Meet your Adams friends for a meal together. Jersey Mike's will donate 50% of their sales to support events and programming for our students! Be sure to tell them you're from Adams!
Clothing Needed:
RedHawks are in need of new/gently used clothing for students who have accidents/need a change of clothing while at school.
- Pants: sizes 5-14.
- Preferably athletic pants, sweats or stretchy leggings.
- XL shirts
- New underwear sizes 6-14
Teacher Appreciation:
Adams staff has been working hard all year to help our kids be successful. Let's show them our appreciation by stocking the lounge with all of their favorite things. Please order something off of this wishlist OR purchase it at a store & drop it off at the office for PAC by May 31.
Side note: we won't offer birthday grams next year, so if you'd like to send a bag o' goodies to a student or teacher, here's your chance:
PAC will deliver treats to students and staff to celebrate birthdays! Cost: $5 You can order or donate a birthday gram here. (https://my.cheddarup.com/c/2022-23-birthday-grams?cart=94ace1c1-1f50-4cb4-9ac3-298fee1f5acf%21%2142034918)
