From the Principal's desk

Be strong and take heart, all who hope in the Lord. Psalm 31:25

The next Home and School meeting is tonight, 6:30 in the gym! We look forward to seeing you. The agenda was sent home in last week’s STAR. There is much information that will be covered tonight, so we hope that you can take the time to join other parents at this meeting and learn more about the great things that are going on at school. The teachers and I are always happy to spend this hour with parents.

Report cards were sent home today with the students. Third quarter is usually the most difficult for students, so please continue what you have begun in keeping up with good study habits and the communications that you have with teachers.

Catholic Schools Week is quickly approaching and the planners have been busy! Today in the STAR you will notice that the CSW plan is attached. You will also find an invitation to the social event on Sat. Feb. 3. This edition of our weekly newsletter is THE STAR, the CSW Edition, so that it is easier for you to find this information in your emails. You will note a few changes in this year’s plans. The Home and School Association has other plans for Teacher Appreciation, so you will not find the luncheon listed as in the past. This also means that parents will not be needed to cover classes. Another major change is the Talent Show. It has been replaced with a new program, “Through the Years”, a musical/talent review of the decades. We hope to involve the audience in a fun way during this generational review. Look for more ways that your family can be involved in Catholic Schools Week in the weeks to come.

May God continue to bless us all in the busy weeks ahead.
