National Digital Citizenship Week...It's time to have "The Talk"
When it comes to navigating social media, online games, smartphones, and the Internet, it's best for kids to get their info from a trusted source. With 92 percent of teens going online daily and nearly three-quarters of kids age 0–8 using apps, having The Talk is an essential rite of passage.

Social Media
Our kids are living in a social media world - they need our help navigating this world. Julie Smith provides a no-nonsense tour of the sites and apps the kids are using, and what it all means for our students and children. There's much more going on online than simply Instagram and Snapchat...dozens of sites are ranking and affirming our children every day, both with and without their knowledge.
Knowledge is power - and with this knowledge both teachers and parents can learn the right questions to ask and the appropriate way to help kids create, protect and defend their digital identity.
People are hungry for this information, and they've not had a reliable source for it... Until Now!
