Penn Pride: We have. We are. Together.

Penn is having a Scholastic book fair in the library during conferences.

Last chances: Friday, February 28th from 3-4 pm, and Monday, March 2nd from 8 am-7 pm.

All proceeds from the book fair go to purchase new books for Penn’s Library collection.

A big thanks to the Penn PTO for helping to provide volunteer workers for the fair and for purchasing a book for each student at Penn!

Penn PTO is selling yearbooks. We are asking families to assist in our process by ordering online via google doc.

Please take a moment to fill out this order form and remit payment using the paper form/envelope your student will be bringing home. All orders and payment are due on or before March 11, 2020.

Thank you to the students pictured below for entering a drawing in our cover art contest.

Congratulations to Jackson Burnes. His art was chosen for the front of the yearbook. Estelle Ralson's art was awarded 2nd place and will also be featured in the yearbook. Thank you to all our artists : Kellen, Lilly, Ashlyn, Alayna, Ethan and Audrey. You made the competition tough!

From Ms. Fishman

Rollerskating has begun for 2nd - 6th graders! You may wish to have your child bring a helmet and/or elbow/knee pads.

After spring break, mileage club will start back up. There will be a sign up genius sent out from the PTO asking for parent volunteers once again to help with mileage club.

Also, after spring break, students must wear tennis shoes to PE.

Please checkout the health.moves.minds handout that you get at your PT conference. This fundraiser will start next week.

The district PE department has adopted a new fundraising initiative. (Remember we used to do Jump Rope for Heart). This new initiative promotes good character, mental, emotional and physical health and almost all the money stays in the district, and specifically in our building.

Parent Input

Each spring we begin a complicated and thoughtful process for creating class lists for the next school year. One aspect of this is allowing parents to give input related to their child's needs. This is NOT about requesting a specific teacher, but rather an opportunity to tell us about your child's needs.

The form for this input will be shared in the parent newsletter after spring break. Input will be accepted until May 1.

We want people from all over the community to come to our event. Everyone is welcome!
