Facing the Changes
Mr. Lillis sent information regarding Chromebook access. If you are still in need of technological assistance, please contact Amy Hunt at the School Support Center. ahunt@kaolaz.org. If your child needs to come into school for internet access, we will have the computer lab available from 8 AM- 1PM daily. You must email Mrs. Perea or call the office in order to reserve a space. This is limited to those without access. (The computer lab will not be available on Thursday, November 12, as students will not be on campus in order to deep clean.)
I have also received information from Altice regarding internet access:
At Altice USA, we recognize the important role we play in providing our Suddenlink communities and customers with connectivity solutions and we are committed to helping students stay connected during the Covid-19 pandemic.
To support the need for remote instruction, Altice USA is proud to announce (press release attached) it is offering Altice Advantage Internet 30Mbps service complimentary for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not currently have home internet access. Households in the Suddenlink service area can call to sign up at 888.633.0030 or visit AlticeAdvantageInternet.com for more information.
Our school counselor, Mrs. Lewis, is also available at jlewis@kaolaz.org should you need her assistance.
Please contact me should you have questions or concerns.

If you are interested in having a voice and helping to drive school improvement at KAHS, we want you for our KAHS SITE COUNCIL team. If you are interested in being part of the KAHS Site Council, please email Mrs. Perea at jperea@kaolaz.org.
Annual Public Notice for Homeless Children & Youth:
Kingman Academy of Learning is committed to creating equal educational opportunities for all children. The district strives to ensure that homeless children and youth have access to a free, appropriate public education that is comparable to that provided to the children of any Arizona resident and consistent with Arizona's mandatory school attendance laws. It is our goal that all children and youth experiencing homelessness will be immediately enrolled in school based on availability and will have educational opportunities equal to those of their non-homeless peers. Homeless students will not be stigmatized or segregated on the basis of their status as homeless. Full details on the Homeless Children and Youth policy can be found here: http://kaolaz.org/home/AZ088620204/District%20Office/HCY_Plan.pdf
