Papillion-La Vista High School will hold prom on April 17 from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM!
YES REMOTE LEARNERS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND! The videoboard will be fired up, there will be plenty of drawings for prizes, and lots to do, with music blasting and decorations in areas of the stadium!
Tickets are available in the Bookstore. The rain date for this event will be May 1!
We will NOT host a Graduate Safe for our seniors this May. It saddens us we can't have this event, but there is no way we can pull this off in Covid-19 times. We are combining parts of Graduate Safe into prom this year to make it a COOL EVENT! We look forward to seeing all our seniors and juniors at prom!
PLHS Show Choirs
The PLHS show choirs will be performing at The Orpheum Theatre on Tuesday, April 6th at 6:30 pm. We have three Show Choirs this year and full Show Choir Bands comprising of over 125 students. They will perform their entire show!
Tickets are on sale at www.ticketomaha.com. Click “The Orpheum Theatre” and find “Show choir Showcase.” Tickets are $17.50 each. Our show choir students have not competed or performed this year for an audience and they’re so excited for this opportunity. If you’ve been missing dinner and a show at The Orpheum, here’s a chance to see our very own students perform on this amazing stage!
We hope to see you there,
Graduation- Sunday May 9, 2021 5:00 PM
Each family will receive 4 tickets. We should have additional tickets once we have a better idea on how many families will be attending. We'll have a plan closer to graduation to distribute additional tickets. Baxter Arena will have seats in pods of 4 due to the Covid-19 guidelines.
Handicap seating will be available and we will have a reserved location in the arena. Separate tickets will be available for families needing handicap seating.
Graduation Speeches
We are looking for two seniors to give a speech at graduation.
Tryouts will take place on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, during 7th hour.
Please see Mr. Rohacik in room #307 to sign up.

Attendance Protocol
For daily student absences or late arrivals, please let us know: Phone: 402-898-0413
Email: brenda.jung@plcschools.org
We need:
Your name
Your student’s name(s)
Student’s grade level
Date of absence/tardy
Reason for absence/tardy
Call us any time, but we really appreciate if you can give us 30 minutes before you need your student released to keep from disrupting classes.
You may contact us in advance if you know of an upcoming absence.
Please leave a message if our line is busy, or if you are calling before or after normal school hours. Messages are checked frequently.
How you can help us:
Have your student bring doctor or dentist notes to the attendance office after their appointment.
Due to COVID restrictions, visitors are still not allowed in our building.
Simply ring the bell and someone will assist you or your student can meet you outside. It helps us immensely if you have your student’s first and last name on the item you are dropping off.
We appreciate your diligence, cooperation and understanding always, but especially this year, in keeping your kids home when they are ill, following the guidelines, and asking if you have questions. You have been instrumental in helping each of us stay healthy and in school.
