VIPs, please turn in your scholar medical excuses when scholars are absent from The Eagles Nest. Medical excuses can be scanned & emailed and/or sent in your scholars' NEST Binder. Parent notes can be emailed, handwritten and sent in your scholars' NEST binder. All excuses are to be submitted to Mrs. Cook, Scholar Service Coordinator, acook@libertysteamcharter.org. Remember, VIPs can write 10 parent excuse notes. Medical & Parent notes are to be turned in upon scholars' returning to school. Please assist Mrs. Cook so your scholar can avoid being on the truancy list & you having to complete the truancy process. Sending a dojo message, verbally informing teachers & staff of your scholars' absence does not take the place of a medical or parent excuse note being submitted to Mrs. Cook. We’ve almost made it! As we finish these last couple of weeks and have a lot of fun things planned, I ask that you still be mindful that there is still the opportunity for sharing germs. Please be mindful that if your scholar is sick, and as much as we would hate for them to miss out, please be careful with both their health and the health/safety of our other individuals in the school, by keeping them home. We work very hard within the school by sanitizing and reminding scholars to have healthy habits within the school, but we have experienced a few times with scholars being sent to school, knowing they are not up to par and it, unfortunately, is getting our other friends sick. We want all our scholars to have the best end-of-year experiences, but we also want everyone kept safe while we host these events! This week is one of our first events and we ask that you remember to send your child with a water bottle to ensure they keep hydrated while having the best time! Thank you for your cooperation!

Please keep scholars’ home who have had a fever within the last 24hrs and required fever-reducing medication, vomiting, or new onset/worsening cough. Reminder, Nurse Katy’s lost and found is overflowing! I have a lot of items that are not Liberty uniform items and a few Liberty jackets/hoodies. Please email Nurse Katy at kardis@libertysteamcharter.org with a description of your scholar’s jacket and if it’s a Liberty item color/size of the item.

VIP's, assist scholars with the preparation of packing their breakfast and/or lunch. LSC Staff appreciate your cooperation with ensuring "ALL" scholars have access to healthy meals as described by the CDC. Fresh Fruit & Vegetables (FFV/snack) are distributed to ALL scholars on Wednesdays & Thursdays unless otherwise informed by The Eagle Café staff.

Friendly Reminders: scholars are prohibited from receiving outside food deliveries from local restaurants (including Door Dash, UberEATS, etc.) LSC staff will NOT microwave (reheat) your scholar breakfast and/or lunch.

• Scholars are asked to arrive between 7:30 -8:00 am daily to be served breakfast.
• Scholars arriving after 8:05 am are tardy.
