Growth Mindset Theme of the Month
December - We Love a Challange!
When we push through the limits of our comfort zone to achieve a goal or accomplish something challenging, our brain forms stronger connections and our intelligence improves over time. Something that is challenging not only helps us learn or use new strategies (because we need to try something that we've never done before to solve the problem), it also gives us confidence to continue approaching things that may seem difficult.

10 Days of Giving
The 10 Days of Giving food drive is an annual community collaboration between Merchants Bank in St. Charles, Friends in Need Food Shelf and CCEFS to help stock local food shelves each winter. Students are encouraged to donate most needed items such as shampoo, bar soap, paper towels, toothbrushes, deodorant, feminine products, dish soap, Kleenex, toilet paper, and body wash.

Message from District 833’s Transportation Department:
Our top priority is the safety of our students. With the winter season upon us, it is important to remind students and families that inclement weather may lead to transportation delays. While we make every effort to run our buses on time, there may be unavoidable delays resulting in your student having to wait outside for the bus longer than expected. Please ensure that your student is dressed appropriately for the weather.
In the event that buses are running extremely late, we encourage families to discuss and plan for these types of situations. Bus routes running more than 10 minutes late will be posted on our Transportation website http://www.sowashco.org/services/transportation (right side of page under School Bus Status).
Should you have any questions, our transportation staff can assist you at: 651-425-5303 for General Ed busing or at 651-425-5324 Special Ed busing.
