Things You Should Know About LaTanya & The Youth of Englewood

History of the Organization

On June 29, 2017 LTYOE officially became a 501(c) (3) tax exempt organization. The organization has been established to work with youth ages 5-13 to provide after school activities including education, recreation communication skill building, social opportunities, advocacy and support. Most importantly this program provides strong relationships with capable, caring, and positive adults- a key component of helping children succeed in a dangerous and violent environment like the Englewood neighborhood in Chicago.

New Partnerships on the Horizon

On March 3, 2018, LaTanya & The Youth Of Englewood will be officially opening its recreational center at 6020 South Halsted Ave in Chicago, Illinois. LTYOE is an after-school program offering free service to under-served youth in Englewood. Founder, LaTanya Johnson, established her organization on June 19, 2013. Originally housed in Ogden Park field house, LTYOE has partnered with No Adults Left Behind founder, Andre Ellis to provide a permanent home in Englewood.
