Mashburn Elementary
Dear Teachers,
We want to get a jump start on the 2018-19 school year. With so many changes being made, I wanted to give each grade level the gift of time to plan for Q1 of next year. Each grade level has been given a half day of planning with the following agenda:
Pacing Guide Q1 (at least the first quarter)
· Deconstructing Q1 Standards
· Look at new Lesson Plan guidelines
· Explore new resources if you have time
Dates and Times:
May 3rd: Third Grade Planning Day
May 4th: 4th Grade Planning (AM) & 5th Grade Planning (PM)
May 8th: First Grade Planning (AM) & K Planning (PM)
May 9th: SPED Planning (AM) & Second Grade Planning (PM)
Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to our students!
Carla
Rigor Walk-Throughs
Dear Teachers,
Thank you for allowing us for to come visit your classrooms. These walkthroughs have helped us in our understanding of Rigor at Mashburn. We observed AMAZING things! From number talks in 5th grade to Geometry in Kindergarten, we’ve noticed a wide range of intentionality in planning rigorous activities for your students. We plan to use what we’ve learned from you in our professional development plan next year.
Thank you again for opening up your classrooms to help us learn!
