Garnet Valley CTC Quick Tip #6 2017-2018
Did you know? Red Ribbon Week is coming – 10/23 -10/31. The National Family Partnership (NFP) organized the first Nationwide Red Ribbon Campaign. The NFP provides drug awareness by sponsoring the annual event. Since it’s beginning in 1985, Red Ribbon has touched millions of people around the world. Red Ribbons honor the life, work, and tragic sacrifice of DEA Agent Enrique Camarena who said, “I am only one person, but I want to make a difference.”
Call to action… Your Future is Key so Stay Drug Free
Take the pledge. Read about the pledge below and then click on the link below.
1. As parents and citizens, we will talk to our children and the children in our lives about the dangers of drug abuse.
2. We will set clear rules for our children about not using drugs.
3. We will set a good example for our children by not using illegal drugs or medicine without a prescription.
4. We will monitor our children's behavior and enforce appropriate consequences, so that our rules are respected.
5. We will encourage family and friends to follow the same guidelines to keep children safe from substance abuse.
