We made it!!!

A huge thank you to Tiffany Johnson, Lesley Reichert, JoAna Kacher, Martha Reyes and Jenna Ross for getting the logistics for our STAAR testing complete and being able to adjust at the last minute to accommodate our needs. They stayed way into the night several evenings in attempt to help the testing process go as smoothly as possible!

A huge thank you to Julie Turner and Janie Murray that kept the counseling office running smoothly and trouble shooting all of our testing needs!

A huge thank you to Jon Campbell that was able to provide option B for some of our technology issues.

A huge thank you to Girls Athletics and Social committee for providing our team great lunches! And to Celina Grill and Liz Gutierrez for running around town to get everything needed for the lunches and the set up!

AND MOST OF ALL A HUGE THANK YOU to you our amazing teachers! Thank you for being accommodating, kind and willing. Thank you to so many of you that volunteered your time off to help when needed, thank you for dropping by the cafeteria and gym areas during time off to see if assistance was needed and thank you for following the logistics and protocols to make our STAAR testing run smoothly! What a great place to be!!!

Thank you from IKE

We received a wonderful Thank You note from the staff at IKE, thanking us for thinking of them and supplying a goodie basket for their staff during a very difficult time.

Important: Required password change timeframe is upon us

Every 120 days NEISD employees are required to change their Active Directory password. This account is used to log onto Windows and Mac devices, Office 365, Lawson and more. We do not want your password to expire while you are away for the summer. We recommend you change your password before you leaving for the summer break. Attached are documents to assist in choosing a good password, how to change your password, and how to reset your password should you become locked out. Please contact the Technology HelpDesk if you have questions.

How do I change my password?

On an NEISD Windows 7 system, you can simply:

1. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete, and then click Change a password.

2. Type your old password, type your new password, type your new password again to confirm it, and then press Enter.

On all other systems or from home, you can access a Password reset Portal website to change your password at https://passwordresetportal.neisd.net/default.aspx.

All Teachers Required Technology Survey due no later than May 20th

Last year marked the first year to take a new, more applicable technology survey called Clarity (we achieved 100% completion at Hill MS) that replaced the Star Chart. Clarity is a research-based online platform created by BrightBytes that measures the effectiveness of technology in schools and offers data-driven recommendations.

Who takes the Survey: Teachers and Administrators (Principals, Counselors, Speech, etc..) are required to take the survey along with students.

What devices can be used: any device that you can get to the internet and enter that link along with the code.

To take the 8-12 minute survey, simply follow this link www.BByt.es and enter the code for teachers and admin AU82T.

(Teachers and Administrators take the same survey but at the end of the survey will be asked for job/position.)

Students will use a different code and take a different survey. There is already a plan in place for them, we will be going through Science classrooms for the students.

Students in danger of failing

Please be on the lookout for an email from JoAna Kacher requesting your input about possible students failing this semester and/or year, with a deadline of May 20th.

Not returning to Hill next year?

It is that time of year when teachers and staff may have questions regarding benefits if they separate from North East ISD.

If a teacher/staff completes the school year and separates with an effective date of June 3, 2016 or later for the 2015/2016 school year, benefits for Medical, Dental, Vision and the Employee Assistance Program will continue through August 31, 2016. For all other separations, please refer to the FAQs Chart of when specific benefits end:

You may forward this message to your teachers and staff. Benefits Specialists are also available to discuss COBRA and insurance portability at 210-407-0187.
