First Grade News for the Month of March
Resources!
We want to share the following resources with you for student use at home! Some resources require your child's login and password. If you have not received them yet, please expect this information soon, or request it from your child's teacher! These are great tools to support your child's learning at home.
- First in Math- www.firstinmath.com
This resource allows students to compete for tickets with other students across the school and state! Students love practicing fact fluency and a variety of number sense challenges to earn tickets!
- Reflex Math- www.reflexmath.com
Students practice addition and subtraction facts to build fluency!
This resource includes games to support reading and math skills. You can find games that are tailored to 1st grade standards.
Students can listen to fluent reading and track the words as they enjoy a variety of picture books.

What We'll Learn in April...
Math- We will begin using digital and analog clocks to tell time to the nearest half hour. We will also explore estimation and magnitude.
Social Studies-To build on the work we've done exploring goods and services, th students will learn about spending choices.
Science-Force and motion will be the science focus for the month of April!
