Tumuaki Korero
Kia ora e te whānau,
Wow almost at the end of term 3. What a busy term it has been. We have had a few illnesses doing the rounds including tummy bugs, colds and school sores. Please keep your child home if they are unwell.
This Thursday we have the SCS Speech & Poetry Competition and next Thursday is the Wairau Cluster Speech Competition hosted by Tua Marina School. Notices have gone home today for the finalists in the SCS competition. Whanau are welcome to attend.
The students have been working hard on their calendar art and their amazing art is on display in the classrooms. Notices will be coming home this week for you to order.
The children have been enjoying the opportunities our loose parts playbox provides, empowering our tamariki to embrace their innate curiosity and inventiveness, providing them with the freedom to explore, take risks, overcome challenges as well as nurture problem-solving skills, decision-making abilities, and resilience. If you have anything we could add to our loose parts, that would be amazing. In particular, we are looking for steering wheels, pulleys, crates etc.
Have an amazing week..
Ngā manaakitanga,
Cheryl Alderlieste
