Attendance

  • Parents should call or email Mrs. Trapp at 715-261-0015 by 9:00am when a child will be absent from school.
  • Call or email if your student is not riding the bus and needs to be on the Pick-Up List.
  • Students should stay home if they are not feeling well.

Bus Expectations

We are so fortunate to have amazing bus drivers that serve our Hewitt-Texas students. Many thanks to Ms. Gina, Mr. Winter, Mr. Jesse, Mr. Chuck, and Mr. Jerry!

Their primary responsibility is to ensure that your child arrives at school and is delivered home safely. In order to fulfill that commitment, our bus drivers need your assistance in reminding your children of the bus expectations. Earlier in the year, I spoke with all students regarding these five important reminders:

  • Enter and exit the bus safely (no running/pushing).
  • Remain seated in your seat.
  • Keep your hands, feet, and other objects to yourself.
  • All materials should remain in your backpack.
  • Listen to the bus driver.

As you already know, students are not permitted to bring toys, playing/game cards, or any other personal items to school that are not requested by the classroom teacher. Please make sure you check your child's backpack to ensure that these items are not coming to school, as we are not responsible for lost items.

Thank you in advance for your support in ensuring that all students are safe during the bus ride transitions to school and back home. You are welcome to reach out to me if you have.
