We are counting down! So much to do, so little time!

We will have STAAR testing this week. Monday and Tuesday will be Math and Reading for 3rd and 4th grade. 5th grade will have Science STAAR on Wednesday. Please see the email from Alicia regarding the campus schedule during testing. Email us with any questions.

Class making sessions have all been scheduled. I look forward to working with you on this important process.

What are you doing for the teacher talent show? It's time to start working on it! Talk with Christina if you need some ideas!

PDAS summative conferences are being scheduled. Please loook for an email from Alicia on this. We are providing substitutes who will cover your room so that you can meet with either me or Alicia.

We have our last CAC meeting this Thursday. We will be looking at our membership for next year.

Kona Ice will be on campus this Thursday after school. Please promote this with your kids as Doss gets a portion of the proceeds.

This Friday we will have our PIE appreciation presentation during the Parent Principal Coffee. We will also recognize our volunteer of the year. More informaiton to come.

We will have a professional development day on the 27th. Please plan on being in attendance. Breakfast will be provided!

Sports-A-Rama coming on Friday, May 20

Friday, May 20 is this year's Sports A Rama. It will be down the hill on the Murchison Field.

Schedule of grade levels will be:

K-1st: 8:30 - 10:00
2nd-3rd : 10:15-11:45
4th-5th: 12:30-2:00

Potential rain date will be the following Thursday (26th), but as always, we are really hoping that all works out for Friday, May 20.

Music Calendar

May 11th, 18th, 25th: drum circle after school in Ms. Tannert's room. Teachers are welcome to join if you want to blow off a little end of the year steam

May 14th: AISD Music Memory Contest @ PAC

May 16th: Symphony Field Trip (4th and 5th grade)-10:15am-1:15pm

May 17th-19th: In class performances (Informances) in music classes for Kinder, 1st, and 2nd grade

May 31st: Teacher Talent Show @ 2pm in cafeteria (everybody!)

June 1st: 5th grade talent show 8:00-9:00am in gym

June 2nd: Kinder-4th grade talent shows in gym

Computer Lab News

We will be busy testing in the lab the rest of May. The Lab is reserved all week for STAAR testing (May 9-13). Thursday and Friday are make up days which we may or may not need. Also, testing is usually done by noon so I will contact you if your class may come at their regular time. May 16-20 we will have 5th grade online Technology testing every afternoon from 2-3 pm. Chinese online testing will be all day on May 23-25.

The desktop tech for our school will be working all summer long. I am creating a list of items for him at Doss. The top item is to got through all the netbooks and determine which ones are working or can be repaired. He also plans to update any Innovation Station computers that are running Windows XP to Windows 7. Please email me if you have any other computer work you would like done this summer. Thanks -James

June 2nd:

1:30 - 4th grade- amphitheater, and around 3rd grade portables

1:45 - 1st Grade on the black top

5th to Westover (after Graduation)
