A Note from the Desk of Ms. Choo

Hello parents,

We are excited to be entering the holiday season. Soon Thanksgiving will be here and it will be a time to spend with friends and family. Our teachers will be off for the holiday week too, and if your student is behind it is a great opportunity to get caught up on their work. Students should be about 70% complete in all of their courses this week. That includes students who started late. That allows students to end the semester on time a be ready to start the second semester.

If your child is significantly behind we are starting an extended school day program. Please be looking for an invitation and contact from one of our teachers. We hope these extra supports will help students get back on track.

DIploma and Assessment Information

It is important to have the correct information to create a high school plan for success. Our school counselors will be meeting with families to discuss course options and assessment needs.

Please take a few minutes and become familiar with the graduation and assessment requirements for students linked below.

Standard Diploma Requirements Academic Advisement – What Students and Parents Need to Know

High School Assessments requirements:

  • Pass Algebra 1 EOC or Comparative Score
  • Pass Grade 10 FSA or Concordant Score
  • Take Biology EOC
  • Take Geometry EOC
  • Take US History EOC

All assessments are scheduled at the Pasco eSchool Headquarters. Please plan accordingly.

Attendance Matters

In Pasco eSchool's secondary program attendance in class is demonstrated by submitting work within a 7-day period. Attendance is entered into our student tracking system, myStudent, every Thursday and parents will receive an automated call if a student has not completed at least one assignment in each class.

The goal of these calls is to share this information with parents so they can help students get back on track.

For students who have longer periods of time without work submissions, parents can expect our team to reach out through phone calls and emails, schedule parent conferences, require students to attend virtual extended school day, require students to work on our school's campus, and other attendance interventions.

Our goal is to work with families to ensure that all students are successful learners.
