Hawk Happenings

News from the Holy Rosary/Juan Diego Community

Message from the Principal: Mar. 1st

Happy Wednesday!

It has been a busy last week and a half. In the past 7 days, I have had the opportunity to meet with 69 families for tuition contract meetings. As I sit down with people and we discuss the financial situation for the coming year, I am reminded of the struggles our families are facing and the commitment they have to our school and our community. I know it is not always easy to get the kids to school for families who live far away and it is a sacrifice for so many who are facing financial difficulties. What has impressed me, though, is how often people have a skill/talent (in lieu of financial resources) to help our community succeed...and how willing families are to help! Parents are happy to help with painting, construction, cleaning, working in the classrooms, serving meals in the cafeteria, and so much more. Being a school whose mission is to serve all families, regardless of financial ability can be challenging. We couldn't make it work without everyone's help (time, talent, and treasure). Thank you for all you do. A special thank you to everyone who has signed their contract for next year. I am so excited to report that we have signed a total of 162 kids up already (141 in the last 7 days alone!!)...and we still have 6 months to go. The first Pre-K 4 classroom is almost full and we will have 2 kindergarten classes next year! The deadline for the $150/$300 registration is March 24th.

It was nice seeing so many people at Ash Wednesday Mass this morning. I want to wish everyone a reflective Lenten season.

Have a wonderful week!

Blessings,
