Message from the Principal
Greetings Titans,
This week the Titans had many accolades to celebrate. We have two of the very best counselors, Ms. Traci Dease and Dr. Erika Edwards. We showed our gratitude during National Counselor Appreciation Week! Our SGC and PTSA meeting with our feeder elementary schools' counterparts was a smashing success. We appreciated the opportunity to showcase all the great things happening at EPMS to the SGC, PTA/PTO elementary stakeholders. On Thursday, our AVID Connections teacher, Mrs. Meredith Tongue, inducted 25 students at AVID Signing Day. Congrats to the new 6th-grade AVID class!
On Friday, it was the annual Scoliosis Screening for the 6th-grade and 8th grade. This vital health initiative is a massive undertaking. Thank you to our AA Rawlings Johnson, Cluster Nurse Jureen Oddo, and Parent Liaison Lisa O'Hanlon Cowles for running the operations of this event. Thank you to PTSA Scoliosis Chair, Mrs. Amy Little, for making sure the volunteers and visiting nurses were fueled with snacks, lunch, water, and coffee. A special shout out to the parent Scoliosis screeners: Cathy Flynn, Liana Anheier, Heather Kennedy, Anne-Marie Canty, Claire Robinson, Jacinta Roberts, Neha Pais, and Jennifer Peznola. Thank you to the screeners for your time and concern about the health and well-being of our Titans!
Thanks for all that you do!

Reminder: FCS Policy on Food Items
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we approach Valentine’s Day, I want to remind parents, families, and students of the policy regarding outside foods. Candy, desserts, baked goods (store-bought/homemade), or other edible items are not to be sold or distributed during school hours unless approved in advance by the administration. Students who do not adhere to this expectation are subject to disciplinary action for insubordination, and all food items will be confiscated. Please discuss this expectation and possible consequences with your child. Reinforcing this policy will help to maintain a safe environment for all students.
You can help us protect your child by requesting he/she:
- Not eat anything given to them by another person,
- Not consume any food items they have not brought from your home, and
- Not to eat food that is not in its original sealed package.
Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping all of our students safe at school.
Sincerely,
Principal Damian Bounds
