Blue Academy Families:

Can you believe next week is already Homecoming Week! We can't wait to dress up and show everyone how Decatur Proud we are at Blue Academy! Check out the dress up days below!

September = Accountability

It is the second month of school and we are working hard on the second letter of H.A.W.K.S. Act, which stands for Accountability. We tell our students at Blue Academy that Accountability means taking ownership of your behavior, actions and words. Practicing accountability sets our students up for future success at Blue Academy, DMS, DCHS and beyond! Please take a moment this weekend and talk with your student at home about the importance of Accountability.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Friendly reminder, that Parent Teacher conferences are on Wednesday October 4th, 2023. Students will NOT be in school on this day. Scheduling forms were sent home this past week in your child's School/Home Communication folder. Please make sure that this is returned by Monday, September 18th at the latest. Next week, your child's teacher will send home confirmation of your conference time.

Volunteer Application

For your student's safety, all volunteers are required to submit a volunteer application and clear a background check prior to volunteering at any Decatur Township school. It is important to submit your application at least 2 weeks prior to the field trip, field day, and/or any other special event to ensure we get the background check results to clear you to volunteer. Monday nights at the Armstrong Pavilion 6-8pm

45 minutes of skill development and instruction, followed by 45 minutes of 3 v 3 gameplay.

Registration closes - Sep. 15th
Practice starts - Week of Sep. 18th
Games begin - Week of Oct. 23rd
Games end - Week of Jan 15th

DCHS Food Pantry

Dry and fresh food items will be available for drive thru pick up for any families with children enrolled in MSD of Decatur Township Schools!
When: Select Thursdays 11:30AM – 12:50PM (dates listed below)
Where: Decatur Central High School, Door 10
How to apply: Complete the intake form below and submit! (required for each distribution date). The form must be completed by the Tuesday before the pick up date.
