THE LION'S DEN
February 1, 2023 Edition
Happy February!
Let's spend this month showing kindness and love to others by using your unique gifts to serve those around you.
Kindness could mean a gift, a compliment, or encouraging words. This month, keep this quote in mind: "Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible".
Kind is love; love is kind. Think about what love entails and what it means to love someone. That's kindness. Remember your love and compassion this Valentine's day, and utilize that kindness throughout the month.
When we offer these acts to others, we make people feel good; we pass along hope; we promote peace; we show the power of kindness.
Celebrate Black History Month!
Black History Month was created to focus attention on the contributions of African Americans to the United States. This month is a celebration and powerful reminder that Black history is American history.

Car line/Change of transportation reminders
We care about the safety of our students, and in order to maintain this, parents must abide by the car line rules. If your child is a car rider, please be sure to have them remain in the vehicle until the first bell, which rings at 8:50 am and staff members are present. STUDENTS ARE NOT TO BE DROPPED OFF ANYWHERE OTHER THAN THE CAR LOOP.
Please make sure all transportation changes are submitted by 2:45 pm on the day of the change. While emergencies do arise, it is important to have submitted these changes in a timely manner to avoid confusion.
Thank you for your attention and cooperation in this matter.
