What Did We Learn This Week?

Language Arts

We have been working so hard to write the final draft of our future lives this week. Also, we read a wonderful African tale called Bringing the Rain to Kapiti Plain. We found elements of reality and fantasy in the story. Also, we worked on sequencing events from the story. In grammar, we reviewed adjectives.

Math

This week we learned all about capacity in the customary system. We created adorable gallon butterflies. Here is a picture of Mason's finished art!

Science

We learned the difference between carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores and what they eat. Also, we learned how animals get food and how they hunt for their food. We also learned about predators and prey. Do you know what a frogfish is? We had fun learning more about them!

Hebrew

Dear 2nd grade parents,

We continued learning about the Passover holiday; searching for CHAMETZ, the blessings we recite and what is on our SEDER table.
