Updates from Manassas Park Middle School - 4/12/2019
Week 32 (and 33) - It's Spring Break!
That said, we were teaching, reviewing, learning, and doing work all week! See the teacher tweets section for a sampling of this week's activities.
Remember that right after Spring Break, on April 26th, the Middle School Career Fair will be introducing many different careers to our students, showing the amazing variety of ways to earn a living in our area.
In addition - parents, if you are not familiar with the term juuling, I highly recommend attending the substance use prevention night on May 13th. (See flyer below) MPCS and MPPD will be discussing the most common substances students experiment in middle and high school. Recently there has been a major increase in the number of students who are experimenting with vaping and juuling, thinking it is a harmless way to have fun, when in fact they are taking in nicotine in similiar/greater quantities to smoking cigarettes. Come and learn the facts from the experts, then use that information to have important conversations about health and addiction with your children.
From all of us at MPMS - Have a safe and fun Spring Break!
