Centerview families,
This is such a fun time of year at Centerview. We’ve got a lot going on as we conclude the school year. We are taking advantage of the nice weather - not just during recess time, but taking instruction outside with math, language arts, physical education, media art, speech and language. We even have some lunch bunch groups eating outside. It’s a positive change of pace for students when we can engage in learning inside and outside.
Our 4th graders had a GREAT time on Friday at the annual SLP 4th Grade District Track and Field meet. Prior to the event, students in 4th grade spent time in media arts learning about graphic design and how to create T-shirt designs. Each student created a design for the event T-shirt. All the designs were shared with specialist teachers and district members for a vote. One design was chosen for this year's shirt –Brynn Myers’ creativity came out as the top design. Check out a picture below! Thank you to our Centerview PTO for sponsoring T-shirts for all the participants.
While it’s busy here at Centerview, I’m sure it is at home, too. Keep an eye on our Centerview Elementary calendar for upcoming events. And, please continue to check in with your kiddos and reach out to teachers and staff as you have questions and/or need clarity. We are all here to help, partner and find success as we finish out the school year.
I hope all is well and you have a great week ahead!
Take care,
Mike
