Tejeda Choir Joins Hands with SA Food Bank!
Our fall choir concert that was held last night was a benefit concert, "Singing to Stop Hunger." Our goal is to raise at least 500 food items to donate to the food bank. On behalf of Choir Director Amy Oxley and all the choir students, we hope that you support our students, as well as our fellow citizens in our city community who need this kind of help.
Location: Barrels will be placed throughout the first floor of Tejeda

Digital Citizenship
Dear Parents, Teachers and Staff,
Since last school year, our counseling department and administration have been working with our PTA to inform parents about the importance of understanding social media and its affects on our students in our society. Each school year, we teach and remind our students about digital citizenship and how to utilize social media responsibly. This is our ongoing effort to teach students how to make ethical, safe, and smart digital world decisions. In the spring, we held a PTA Lunch N Learn session for our parents. Last week in our Lunch N Learn session, District Attorney Nicholas LaHood and several of his DA officers presented information about cyberbullying and social media.

Back the Future Engagement Rally
NEISD Council of PTAs would like to invite you and your family to a morning of fitness, wellness & fun. Join us at the Back the Future Family Engagement Rally on November 5, 2016 from 9 am - 1 pm at the NEISD Sports Park (12001 Wetmore Rd, San Antonio, TX 78247).
The event kicks off with a 9:15 am opening ceremony followed by a FREE one-mile fun run. All attendees are encouraged to wear their school spirits shirts. The event includes a Live DJ, games for all ages including the NEISD rock climbing wall, a health fair, food preparation demonstrations, fitness demonstrations, food trucks, door prizes, and an opportunity to join each NEISD PTA.

PVSA (Presidential Volunteer Service Award): It’s never too early to start logging your volunteer hours into the PVSA (www.presidentialserviceawards.gov) website. Parents, each student in your household needs a separate email address and password to begin logging hours.
