WANTED! SMALLPOX
NATIONAL HEALTH EMERGENCY - $350,000 FOR WHEREABOUTS
WHAT IS SMALLPOX?
Smallpox is a highly contagious disease caused by the viruses Variola Major and Variola Minor that can be potentially fatal. The virus spreads through direct contact with bodily fluids and also through the air within reasonable distance. It attacks preferentially the dermis and skin cells, causing severe rashes and skin pimples that can cause hemorrhagic symptoms with fatal consequences, especially in severe forms of the disease known to even discolor the skin to a charred black. It also shows in the form of lesions in the throat and esophagus. Initial symptoms are similar to common influenza, however.
It last was part of a pandemic that, around 1950, caused 50 million cases each year until widespread vaccination efforts were thought to eliminate it. However, now one case has been brought to our attention after an outbreak in a virus lab, and must be dealt with as quickly as possible; we offer a $350,000 bounty for any information that leads to the location of this case.

TREATMENT & PREVENTION
As a virus, there is no cure for it. There is, however, a vaccine that, if taken within 4 days of contracting the disease, can improve chances of survival. It is not currently in widespread use due to risk of potential side effects that outweigh the benefits in absence of a smallpox outbreak.
The only methods of treatment are basic and to prolong life so that one's own body can stave off the infection. This includes preventing dehydration and, in the case of infection such as in the lungs, prescribing antibiotics.
Call immediately if you have information on the location of the Smallpox case!
