Dear SEAS Families,
As our 2019-2020 school year comes to a close I want to thank you for your continued support and partnership. We are very excited to welcome you to our 2020-2021 school year!
I have some important updates for you.
We are planning for in-person instruction in August. The Diocese of Las Vegas has deemed that if stay at home orders do not return, we can plan on returning to campus on August 17, 2020. There will more information sent via email that will detail return plans, so please be on the lookout for those as they will include more detailed information regarding health screenings, social distancing, hand-washing, hybrid attendance if necessary, etc. We will send plans as soon as we have them and have been diligently working on protocols and procedures for a safe return to campus.
Technology news:
All our classrooms will be equipped with smart interactive boards beginning the 20-21 school year!
Our 5th-8th graders will continue their one-on-one device program, but we are shifting over to iPads. Each student will receive an iPad at the beginning of next school year. There is no need to purchase a device of your own. We are covering the cost of the iPad for this initial year of adoption.
Lunch program: We have partnered with Better Lunch for our lunch service. We are excited to provide our students with this wonderful new program. They offer many healthy entrée options and all ordering is done online. See attached for more information.
FACTS Parent Portal: Information will be sent home soon with details on creating your parent account for our new student information system.
Important tentative dates:
August 11: Pre-k & Kindergarten Parent Orientation, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
August 13: New family orientation, 9:00-11:00 a.m.
August 15: Tentative Supply drop off, Mass, and Parish Picnic, 3:00-7:00 p.m.
Uniforms: Please see uniform updates that were included in the end of year packet. Dennis uniform is offering online ordering. Notice that we have changed PE shoes to all black (solid black), this includes logos and soles. Recently we also made a change to required socks for PE. They may be black or white crew socks. On spirit days, students may wear a spirit shirt with jeans (with no tears), and tennis shoes.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school office at (702) 804-8328 or seasschool@seaslv.org.

Re: Better Lunch Program
Dear SEAS Parents: We are pleased to announce that next school year we will be having Better Lunch www.mybetterlunch.com as our school lunch provider. We believe this change will a positive one, as the ordering process is simplified and also includes an easy to use phone app. We can look forward to seeing multiple entrée options each day, including student’s favorite entrees as well as some more adventurous meals. Better Lunch has been serving made-from-scratch meals since 2011.
The cost of the lunch will be $5.75 for a “Regular” size meal, and $6.75 for a “Large” size meal. Additionally, there will be drink and snack options offered for purchase each day. The fall lunch menu will be posted by August 1, 2020 to allow you time to get registered and place orders. The ordering portal will request a SCHOOL CODE which for our students and staff will be SEAS.
We look forward to having Better Lunch at our Curriculum Nights in August where they will be able to answer any questions you may have.
Warmest Regards,

Mr. Dylan Musso, Pre K - 8th Music Teacher
Dylan Musso Bachelor’s of Music - U.N.L.V. Master’s of Music - McGill University
Hello! I have been appointed as the music teacher for St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and I am so excited to share music with you all! I am a professional musician, an educator, and a Las Vegas native who is dedicated to sharing music with the community that cultivated my passion for the arts. I attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he received a Bachelor's in music. I was also awarded a 2017 - 2019 Schulich Fellowship for a Master’s in music at McGill university in Montreal, Canada. During the course of my career I have performed in many shows on the Las Vegas strip as well as with the Nevada Ballet and Las Vegas Philharmonic. As an educator I have held an array of different positions! My teaching experience includes kindergarten to college with everything in between. This diversity of exposure is incredibly helpful when interacting in any classroom setting.
In our music classes we will learn the necessary skills for successful live performance as this is the gateway to making great music in any capacity. We will also learn how to recognize musical symbols so we are musically literate. Lastly we will explore different ways we can integrate technology into our music making. This will ensure our students have the tools they need to keep music close for a lifetime!
