Loyola Library Updates

April 2016

April is National Poetry Month!

Poetry Read Alouds

This month marks the 20th anniversary of National Poetry Month, which was inaugurated by the Academy of American Poets in 1996! The Loyola Library will celebrate with our tradition of Poetry Read Alouds during activities periods on both Friday 4/15 and Wednesday, 4/20. Bring your favorite poem to read aloud, or bring an original poem to share! Sign up for slots with Ms. Watkins in the library.

Poem in Your Pocket Day

On Friday, 4/22 we will celebrate Poem in your Pocket Day! See Ms. Watkins for printed poems that you can carry and share with friends throughout the day. To see what the rest of the world is doing, check out the #pocketpoem hashtag online.
