April 2022

Principal's Message

Beachmont Families.

I can't believe I am saying this, but we are fast approaching the home stretch of the school year. There are roughly seven weeks left of school and the final day of school will be June 17th. We are in the process of planning several end-of-year events to celebrate the hard work that students, staff, and families have put in this year. We are also putting together a summer program that will focus on both literacy and math intervention. More detailed information about end-of-year events and the summer program will be sent out to families in the coming weeks.

The PTO will be looking for many volunteers to help at these end of year events. See information below of how to get in contact with our PTO.

We had a very busy April at Beachmont. Students in the 3rd-5th grades participated in the ELA MCAS. We are proud of their efforts. On April 13th, we had a very fun 4 Bees Celebration, "Hungry, Hungry Hippos." Students and staff had a lot of fun and continue to be respectful, responsible, safe, and kind.

Special shout out to Katie Cerasale-Messina who was nominated as a finalist for Massachusetts STEM Teacher of the Year. Please see the article. We are so proud of her!

I want to emphasize that the school year is not over. Student attendance is still critical and we want to support all of our learners both academically and social-emotionally. Progress reports were emailed home to families on April 29th. I encourage you to take a close look and reach out to your child's teacher with questions or concerns.

Looking forward to opening the doors in the coming weeks to the community. We hope you will join us for these celebratory events

It's a great day to be a bee!
