TCHL 555 - Getting to Know You
About Me!
This my fifth year teaching and my fourth year at Bowling Green High School. This year I'm teaching Algebra 2, Geometry, and Chemistry, but I've also taught Algebra 1 and Intro to Chemistry and Physics in the past. I am finishing up my third degree from WKU and will graduate in December! My Bachelor's degree is in Mathematics Education with a Chemistry minor and my first Master's degree is in School Counseling. I am married to a wonderful man named Bob. We've been married for about a year and half and together for almost five years.
Go Purples!
I love being a Purple! I love being a teacher and couldn't ask for a better group of students and coworkers! As we like to say, "It's a great day to be a Purple!"
Squirt
This is our furbaby! He is a chiweenie that we adopted about 2 years ago from the Humane Society.
William
I have one sister, and she and her husband have one of the cutest kids EVER! My nephew just turned a year old and is just a happy, spoiled little boy! I love him to bits!
Hobbies
In my free time, I love to bake and crochet! I've made several wedding and birthday cakes, but I love making cupcakes when I bake. I also crochet and sell some of my items, but mostly it's just hobby and way to make gifts for family and friends.

Educational Quote:
“Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big, because to them all of it has always been big stuff.” - Catherine M. Wallace
I think as teachers we get so busy that we don't listen sometimes, but our students just want someone to talk to. Just listening is one of the easiest and quickest ways to build relationships and let your students know you care. Even if what they are saying doesn't seem important to us, it is important to them and that's what matters.
TV Shows
I am a TV junkie. I love Dr. Who, the Walking Dead, and Supernatural. Thank goodness for Netflix and DVRs or I would never get to watch TV though!
Sports
I am a huge Colts fan and will be going to watch them take on the Broncos for my 30th birthday is just a few weeks! I am super excited and looking forward to traveling to Indianapolis and spending a long weekend with my husband's family that live there!
