Sight-Word Book
"Lunch" is the title of our second paper sight-word book that came home on Wednesday.
Most have already come back signed. If your kiddo still has theirs please make sure they read it to you, you sign it at the top, and then send it back to school with them so they can clip up and have another book to keep in their book box.
Sight Words
- Practice introduce words (above) nightly using yellow flash cards that came home.
Keep the others in a safe place and integrate them into the pile as I add them weekly to our blog.
"Extra, Extra, Read All About It!"
Paradise Park
Permission slips and $3 are due before your kiddo can attend Paradise Park with us. Some permission slips have been turned in without the $3. If you need to check if with me to make sure you have paid, please just send me an email. Thanks!

Purple Grade Level Shirt
These shirts will arrive on the 18th. We will have the kids put them on over their clothes on the 19th and then we will take the grade level picture. The shirt will then come home with your child that day and we will wear them in the future for field trips and special days.
* LETTER EXPERTS have begun!
Each kiddos gets to be the teacher of a specific letter! Be looking for a green, pink, or purple paper in your child’s planner folder with a baggy and book attached. These will come home with 4 to 5 kids each week the whole month of September. Once the paper comes home check for your child's presentation date. Thanks for following the directions on the paper and helping your child with this homework.
Library
* Students need to return their book on (or before) Wednesday. Thank you helping your child be responsible when borrowing books.

Sharing Calendar
Calendar came home 8/24 - please note your child's day to share
Volunteers
Our volunteer process has changed this year. Rather than coming in for volunteer training, the district has a training video that every volunteer must watch prior to volunteering. If you would like to volunteer in any capacity at Richardson (field trips, Watch D.O.G.S, classroom, library, etc) please visit the school website and click on “Volunteers” under the parents tab. This will take you directly to the video. At the end of the video there is a form that must be filled out giving us record of your training. There is also an option to print the background check form. Once the background check form is complete, please bring it to the school or Stansberry Leadership Center with a photo I.D. If you have any interest in volunteering in any capacity, please complete this process before October 18. Thank you!
Don't forget - check out our school website for important school information and/or to help you answer any questions you might need to know right away!
