New Mentoring Program Partnership
This year, Center Elementary will be starting the Wildcat-Cyclone Connection Club. This program was designed for our students here at Center Elementary to meet and work with students from Mayfield High School to create opportunities for our students to connect with high school peers to advocate for ongoing positive, relationship-building interactions. During the program, our kiddos will meet and work with a high school student doing fun, interactive games and activities. Center Elementary students in the program will meet weekly for 6-8 weeks on Wednesdays with their high school peer from 8:00-8:30am. This program is supported and will be supervised by Mr. Schiller, Mr. DiMarino, other Center Elementary staff and High School staff that work directly with the two groups of High School students. The high school students who will be interacting with your child are a part of two clubs at the high school, the Smile for Life Club and MAC-Scholar Club, who strive to be positive and active role models in the community and school district.
Special thanks to Chris, Brian Linn, and Kerry Rutigliano for their time and effort to make this possible. Permission slip have gone out to our first 12 students. We will slowly expand the program once we're up and running at full speed. If you have any questions, please see Jeff or Chris.
