Great Start
It was a great start to the school year and I want to thank everyone who made it a successful start to the 2022-2023 school year. We have outstanding staff from teachers to custodians to everyone in between who had a hand in getting our students to school, fed and back home again. I am looking forward to an outstanding school year.
Reminders: Picture Day is Wednesday September 7.

Kindergarten Preparations
- The first days of Kindergarten are spent getting to know our students.
- Teachers and support staff complete assessments.
- Students get to know all 4 Kindergarten teachers and support staff.
- Students will be assigned and parents notified of home room teachers starting on August 29, 2022.
Problem Solving in 5th Grade
- Students in 5th Grade started learning how to problem solve as a group the very first day of school.
- Skill building is an important part of the learning process at Fredericktown Elementary School (FES).
- Later activities will require students to collaborate, communicate and solve critical issues.
Welcome Back Cookout
- Mr. Goeppinger, Mr. Massara, Mr. Caputo and Mr. Chapman cook burgers and hot dogs.
- Mrs. Gregg coordinates the annual event.

Elementary Guidance Counselor
School Counselor Services
Melissa White is our Elementary School Counselor. This is her second year at Fredericktown supporting students' social and emotional needs by:
- teaching and modeling important life skills through classroom lessons
- supporting the building-wide Positive Behavior program and goals
- brief, goal-oriented individual or small group counseling/interventions, or referral to professional counseling agencies for ongoing concerns or evaluations
