Valentine's Day
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. Please have your child decorate a cereal box for a Valentine mailbox. Make sure the top can be opened and there is a hole on top big enough to drop in the Valentines and candy.
Also, make sure your child’s name is easy to see on the front for Valentine delivery. When decorating, you can use wrapping paper, construction paper, stickers, glitter, etc. This is your child’s creation, so have fun! Please bring your Valentine mailbox to school NO LATER THAN February 13th . Also, due to space, please do not bring it before February 11th.
Finally, please bring one Valentine for each student in our class to pass out before our Valentine’s Party on Thursday, February 14th!
Class lists will be coming from your child's teacher.

A Note From the Office About Tardies
Dear Parents,
Over the course of the last month we have noticed a large increase in the number of students arriving to school late. Please know that each school day begins at 7:55 a.m. The car line closes at 7:50 a.m. so that all teachers are able to return to their classrooms and provide instruction for our students. After 7:55 a.m., students are considered tardy and must be signed in the front office by a parent. Due to safety concerns, it is imperative that parents park in the front parking lot and walk the child into the office. The parking lot is extremely busy during this time and allowing students to walk in the parking lot or across the bus lane unattended is very dangerous. Having students ready and in their classrooms at 7:55 a.m. ensures they begin their day on a positive note without the stress of feeling behind and minimizes disruptions to the instructional environment. We truly appreciate your assistance.

Cafeteria Snacks
Child Nutritional Services offer snacks for students to buy during lunch time. These range from chips and crackers to Rice Krispy Treats and Cookies. The prices range from 50 cents for a cookie to 75 cents for a Rice Krispy Treat. In order to help our children manage their eating choices, lunch room teachers do not offer this service until lunch is half over. At that point teachers check to see if enough of the lunch is eaten when a child requests to buy additional snack food. Please discuss your preference for snacks with your child.
