Valentines Day

The holiday's roots are in the ancient Roman festival of Lupercalia, a fertility celebration commemorated annually on February 15. Pope Gelasius I recast this pagan festival as a Christian feast day circa 496, declaring February 14 to be St. Valentine's Day.

Types of arrangements

Generally, florists use traditional floral arrangements. The emphasis is on the use of many flowers as a mass. Commonly used flowers are roses and carnations, these flowers represent romance and love. Prices for valentines day arrangements range from anywhere between $20 and $200.
