What is Parkinson's?
Parkinson's disease is a progressive disorder in your nervous system that affects your movement. It will develops slowly, at first your not going to notice it happening to hands. This disease is going to cause you to be stiff and move slowly.
Causes for Parkinson's
To this day the cause for Parkinson's have very little known about them. Some experts think that the disease is caused by genetics and environmental factors, these change with every person. Environmental toxins cause PD.
what are the treatments?
Parkinson's can not be cured, however there are medications that you can take to help control the symptoms sometimes in a huge way and others not very much. Later on surgery could be advised.
Their doctors might tell them to take one of these medications:
Carbidopa-levodopa ,Dopamine agonis , MAO-B inhibitors.
The surgery they can take is Deep Brain Stimulation.
Who does it affect?
Both men and women can get Parkinson's, but it occurs about 50% more in men than women. The average age for PD is 60 but there is a 5-10% of cases called "early onset" being as early as 40 years old.
How do you prevent Parkinson's Disease?
There is no way to prevent Parkinson's Disease.
