Google a Day
Google just launched the new "A Google A Day" game, which would make a great class opener or extension activity for kids who finish their work early. Players answer tricky questions using Google search techniques and learn helpful Inside Search tips while they are at it. Check out the video below to learn more, or swing by C8 to borrow my "A Google a Day" in Education book with search challenges specifically tailored to your content area!

Maths Maps!
Maths Maps, created by Tom Barrett, are math activities using Google Maps in different places around the world. The activities are explained in individual placemarks on Google Maps. The maps can be used as independent tasks or group activities in class, embedded on websites, blogs or wikis, and can be completed by students and recorded online or offline.
Learning Curve Graphic Organizers
The Learning Curve is offering 3 dozen interactive graphic organizers to help students think with more depth and structure. In this collection you will find PDFs for things like "Think, Pair, Share" and "Who, What, When, Where, Why" activities. You'll also find templates for designing stories and interviews.
