Mr. Scheunemann's Video Message
Principal Message:
I am aware of the adjustment the start of the school year is for everyone, including families. Thank you for all you have done to make the transition back to school successful. Please don't hesitate to reach out. We want to be a place of support and partnership so we can optimize learning for everyone!
In case you couldn't hear the encouraging messages from my boys, I listed them below:
- Keep Up the Good Work!
- Each Day is a Gift!
- You are One in a Million!
Thanks again for a great start and I look forward to October as we have worked hard to establish routines, build connections, get to know students, and are ready to dig deeper as we continue to focus on learning.
With Lodi Pride,
Mr. Eric Scheunemann
LES/OSC Principal

October Menus
Birthday Treats and Celebrations
Each item must be individually wrapped and needs to be in compliance with the Federal School Lunch Program. It is intended to protect students by ensuring safe food handling procedures at school. The policy requires that teachers don’t use food items as rewards or incentives during the school day. It discourages food for parties or birthday celebrations. But food brought into school should be limited to healthier, ready to eat, prepacked and shelf stable (requiring no refrigeration or temperature control) items. Unfortunately homemade treats cannot be brought into school but other prepacked and shelf stable items can. We also have clarified that large trays of cupcakes from the store are not allowed, even though they are made in a commercial kitchen.
LES/OSC September Happenings
US Map Playground Addition
The AT&T Pioneers came and painted a map of the United States on our playground.
It was an amazing experience for our students to see the power of volunteerism at work!
Click HERE to access the news coverage of this experience.
National Custodian Appreciation Day
We are so thankful for the work our custodian, Pat Miller, does behind the scenes so we can focus on students and helping them learn.
We couldn't do it without him!
Thank you Pat!
Caught Being Kind
The students pictured below were recognized for acts of kindness they did. These acts are above and beyond our expectations of being responsible, respectful, and safe. We know that there are numerous acts of kindness our students do that we don't always see and appreciate those as well.
Some Pictures from the 1st Month of School
It has been a blast witnessing the opportunities students have at LES/OSC to connect and learn.
I am so proud of the work students and staff have done already!
2. COVID Protocols: You will also find our Lodi School District COVID Protocols.
3. General Health Reminder: Just a reminder to stay diligent with hand washing, sleep, and nutrition as these practices help students stay healthy and keep learning! Thank you for your continued help with this.
