How to Request Food Service
First, If you DON'T want the school to provide breakfast and/or lunches to take home during the school closure, please ignore this survey.
GOOD NEWS from OSPI:
OLYMPIA—August 31, 2020—Today, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) extended waivers that allow children ages 0–18 to receive breakfast and lunch at no cost through the end of December 2020.
With these waivers, schools can continue providing healthy, nutritious meals at no cost to all students who need them.
What are we offering?
A week's worth of breakfast and / or lunches are packed for your student(s), you then come by the school on a designated day and pickup the meals. Once we determine who is interested in receiving school meals, we will see if we are able to do deliveries once a week during our regular bus runs.
If your child is on campus, you can sign up for 3 days worth of meals. On one of the days they are on campus, we would send home the three meals with them.
How do we pay?
Meals are free through December 2020.
Although meals are free to everyone, it is important for families that fall into the income brackets for free and reduced meals to fill out the applications for two reasons. First, and foremost is to ensure you are ready when we the waiver runs out to access the program for school meals. Second, and important to the school is a number of our programs are dependent on the number of students who qualify for free and reduced meals. So, even if you don't take advantage of the program, a few minutes of filling out the forms will help with funding for vital programs such as our reading and math interventions programs. This is ONLY for families that fall into the appropriate low income category.
We are sending home applications to sign up for our free and reduced meal program. If you have questions about the process or the application please contact Angela by email or at 360-445-5785.
Meals sent home will be a combination of fresh food and shelf stable items. Anything that needs to be cooked with have instructions.
If you have questions about signing up or how the program will work please contact Mr. Cravy
