From Mrs. Ralston
This week we will be collecting money (coins & dollars) to buy books for Texas Children's Hospital library. The hospital's only source of new books is through donations and we want to help! Money should be turned into homeroom teachers, and will be collected and counted daily. The 3 homeroom classes who raise the most money by the end of the week will earn the following prizes:
1st place – McDonald’s lunch + 15 minutes extra recess
2nd place – Popsicles + 15 minutes extra recess
3rd place – 15 minutes extra recess
Each class that raises $50.00 or more will receive a banner to hang in their classroom.
We will share the standings on announcements each day.
Please help us raise money that supports Texas Children’s Hospital as well as our Giesinger library. In 2021, Giesinger was able to donate 120 book to Texas Children’s Hospital. This year our school’s goal is 140. WE CAN DO THIS!
A few reminders:
- Report cards will be sent home on Tuesday, March 29th.
- We hope you make plans to attend our school carnival this Friday, April 1st from 5:30-7:30 pm. We will have games, food, vendors, a raffle, and a silent auction! Please join us!
- Our front doors open at 7:15 AM for families to beat the morning drop-off traffic and also for our Eagles to get breakfast before going to class. We have a staff crossing guard to assist students safely cross the driveway between 7:30 - 8:00 AM. However for students arriving by car, we ask that they get out on our front porch. We have students being dropped off near the visitor parking and walking across traffic. This stops our car line and is also harder to keep everyone safe.
- Please continue to review the CISD website for the most up to date information regarding Covid. We are now at an Alert Level 2. Thank you for your help in getting us through the most recent spike. Also, the student return to school options have been changed due to recent guideline updates. https://www.conroeisd.net/roadmap-to-reopening/
- Also, please continue to pre-screen your child before sending them to school each day. If they are having any COVID symptoms then we ask that you keep them at home. Refer to the District's "Can My Child Go To School Today" flow chart below. You may also call Nurse Corbit if you are unsure.
At Giesinger Elementary, we strive to create a school in which staff provide a safe, loving and positive learning experience for everyone. We are glad you are here!
Thank you for your continuing support. Eagles Soar to Excellence In All We Do!

In just 4 weeks, we’ll kick off our Giesinger Eagle Fun Run fundraiser on Wednesday, April 20th! Our goal is to have at least 50% of our students registered as we raise funds for technology and field trips! This year more than ever, we need additional funds to provide an excellent educational experience for all of our students. We completely understand if your family is not in a position to financially support the school right now. You can still be involved by simply SHARING about our fundraiser with friends and extended family online at mybooster.com. Sharing IS supporting! All students will participate in the Giesinger Eagle Fun Run, regardless of financial participation. Lastly, please refer to the District document “Can My Child Go To School Today?” This will help you keep your child healthy and others healthy, too.
