THE LAWS OF BELIEF
I BELIEVE YOU MATTER!!
I Believe in Relationships
Many of you noticed and inquired about the "Feed the Good Wolf" shirt I wore for Camo/Blaze Orange Day Wednesday. The shirt was created to stem further reflection about the lesson in this Cherokee legend. As we work through our next week together, I encourage you to actively emulate the choices we are given throughout our day as they relate to both wolves within each of us. Top 20 Teachers know that they have the power to activate the potential in their students to make a positive difference in their lives (p. 2). Which wolf will you feed when making that difference in relationships this week? A summary and reflection questions...
There are two wolves in this story.
One is EVIL
It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, and ego.
The other is GOOD
It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, empathy, generosity, truth and faith.
The grandson thought for a minute and then asked his grandfather:
“Which wolf will win?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”
1. Think of a person who feeds the evil wolf. There are fourteen words that describe the evil wolf. Which word describes the person you know who feeds the evil wolf?
2. Think of a person who feeds the good wolf. There are eleven words that describe the good wolf. Which word describes the person you know who feeds the good wolf?
3. Which wolf do you feed?
4. Review the eleven words describing feeding the good wolf. Select one to practice this week as you feed the good wolf.
