Paws for PRIDE
Congratulations to last week’s Paws for PRIDE winners: Owen F, Connor M, Mrs. Pharr, Khloe M, Colin C, Elizabeth M, Morgan P, Peyton L, and Mrs. Wallace’s 3rd grade class.
Students, classes, and teachers are chosen at random to be recognized and celebrated for demonstrating one of our five character traits - Pride, Respect, Individual Responsibility, Determination and Empathy. Thank you to all of the Titus families for your support of our Paws for PRIDE program.
Halloween Parade - October 31st
Titus's Annual Halloween Parade will take place on Thursday, October 31st at 1:45pm. In the event of rain, the parade will take place inside and unfortunately we do not have enough room in the building to accommodate all our visitors. Classroom parties will take place immediately following the parade and will conclude at 2:45pm in order to prepare for dismissal. Please make sure that all costumes are appropriate for school.
Parent volunteers must check in with the main office when they arrive and must have the proper clearances. Our classroom teachers will communicate specific party information to these helpers. Thank you in advance for your time on this day.
AM Kindergarten Parade - 9:30am followed by their classroom activities
PM Kindergarten and Grades 1-6 Parade - 1:45pm followed by their classroom activities
Invitation to all Active Duty Military and Retired Military Members
Get Moving at Home!
Please check out Mr. Bocklet’s teacher site for two separate workout sections.
Friday 5 Minute Flex – a new 5 minute workout added every Friday to get you moving on the weekend, or whenever!
Titus 10 – A three part series of workouts filmed with students at CB South.
Remember to workout at your own pace and take breaks when needed. Each video has a scale to let you know how intense each video is, so get ready to MOVE!
Dismissal Reminders
If it is necessary to change your normal pick-up routine at the end of the day, i.e., a different adult, bus rather than car, car rather than bus, a change in child care arrangements, etc., a written note must be presented to the classroom teacher, who will share the information with the office.
Any phone calls regarding a change in end-of-day plans must be directed to the office before 2:30 PM through a phone (267-893-4500, dial zero for the office) or via e-mail (mdaily@cbsd.org and rglasgow@cbsd.org) and not directly to the classroom teacher, as we cannot guarantee the teachers will be able to check their messages during the instructional day.

Book Fair
Book Fair Thank You!
Thank you to all our students who gave up their recess time on Tuesdays and Thursdays for weeks to transform the gym into an Arctic Adventure for Book Fair. It looks amazing and was a wonderful experience for all our Titus students.
We would also like to thank our Home and School Association and all of our Titus parents who volunteered their time to help with the Book Fair this week. We could not have done it without you and we appreciate all your time and effort. A special thank you to Mrs. Jones for her dedication and organization in running this event.
Don't forget, you can still visit the Book Fair this Saturday at our Harvest Breakfast.
Titus in Action
Fifth Grade - Science in Action
Fifth graders had a great time at Peace Valley observing and digging up layers of soil. They also got to see nature's recycler's at work on a rotting log. Science in action!

Box Tops for Education
It’s contest time!
This year we will be awarding a prize each trimester to the classroom that earns the most Box Tops for Education money for Titus. Each class total will be comprised from the clipped paper Box Tops brought in to school and the digital downloads from scanning your receipts into the Box Tops for Education app. The first trimester prize is a classroom pizza party sponsored by Soprano’s Pizzeria & Restaurant and will be awarded in December. We will be doing our first collection of paper Box Tops on October 25th so send yours in now! Paper Box Tops expire so check your date. Box Tops that expire on 11/1/19 must be received at Titus by October 25th to be counted. The current contest standings (based on receipt scanning only) are as follows:
1st place: Miss Duffy’s class with $15.90
2nd place: Mrs. Snyder’s class with $9.00
3rd place: Mr. Behling’s class with $4.00
