REMINDER: Calling your child in ill from school
- Student's first and last name
- Student's grade
- Reason for absence
- If absence is for illness: What is their temp? Cough? Difficult breathing? Chills? Fatigue? body aches? Congestion or runny nose? Sore throat? Headache? Loss of taste or smell? Nausea? Vomiting? Diarrhea?
- If the student is ill for other reasons parents will be asked to indicate that.
- If parents prefer, they may leave a message with the school nurse

PARENTS: Daily check List
KEEP STUDENT HOME IF ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
- Fever of 100.0 or higher
- New, uncontrolled cough that causes difficulty breathing
- Abdominal pain with nausea
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Loss of sense of taste and/or smell
KEEP STUDENT HOME IF COMBINATION OF THE FOLLOWING:
- Headache
- Cough
- Fatigue, tiredness
- Muscle Aches
- Sore Throat
- Congestion, runny nose
DO NOT administer Tylenol or ibuprofen/advil/motrin to "get through the day"

REGISTRATION FEE
Registration invoices will be coming in the mail soon. You can go on line and pay or send in a check (IN AN ENVELOPE) marked registration fee.
FREE Breakfast & Lunch
Taher Inc, the Food Service Management Company for the Beaver Dam Unified School District is happy to announce that all breakfast & lunch meals will be provided to all students in the district FREE effective until December 31, 2020.
All students that are in person, will continue meals as normal for breakfast in the classroom at elementary levels and breakfast upon building entrance at Middle School, High School, & Don Smith Learning Academy with no charge to anyone.
All students that are in person, will continue meals as normal for lunches at all levels. Meal choices will still be available (refer to menus) at all school levels with no charge to anyone. Barcodes will still be scanned for each student, but a charge will not be added to your account. The scan is simply our way of tracking the number of meals served for DPI purposes. Milk that is purchased during lunch for anyone bringing a cold lunch, will be charged $0.45/carton. All a la carte items at the High School will continue to be charged to your account (beverages, snacks, baked goods, etc.). These items are not free of charge.
Milk break at the elementary levels will still be charged to your account if you are a paid status. Milk is $0.45/carton charge that you will see on your Skyward Account. As of now, milk break is not under any waiver to be free per USDA. If you are a free or reduced status, your child's milk break will remain free of charge like normal.
