A Message from Mrs. Burns
Interim Principal of Saint Rita Catholic School Fort Worth
Catholic Schools Week - We're Off to a Great Start!
We have had great participation among the student and teachers in the first three days of Catholic Schools Week. Monday, students dressed as their future careers; there were numerous professionals including surgeons, veterinarians, and engineers.
Monday's Open House was well-received. We look to increase our enrollment next year, so be sure to invite your friends and neighbors to visit Saint Rita Catholic School.
Tuesday, the students and teachers came to school in their pajamas as a reward for all of their hard work.
Wednesday, the scouts led morning prayers and pledges while the entire school gathered around the flagpole dressed in patriotic attire.
Fifth graders read in pajamas on Student Appreciation Day.
First and third graders performed a Dragon Dance.
The Bishop stopped by to visit with students.
Friday, February 3
Our Friday Mass will be extra special this week. Not only will we celebrate the Eucharist, but we will honor this year's Catholic Schools Week Honoree for Saint Rita, Mr. Jerome Socha. We will also have blessings of the throats for the Feast of Saint Blaise, and a procession from church to the school for special classroom blessings. A reception will follow in the school library for parishioners, families, and school supporters. Please join us!
Las Vegas Night - Caesar's Palace
It is almost time for our only fundraiser this year! Yes, Las Vegas Night is this Saturday, February 4. The theme this year is Caesar's Palace, so wear your best toga and head over after the 5 pm. Mass. Tickets are $40 through Friday, $45 at the door.
Please remember to:
- Donate gift cards
- Buy tickets to attend Las Vegas Night
- Volunteer to work at the fundraiser or clean up afterward
- Bid on the classroom auction items (on display in the school foyer)
Thank you for your support!
I want to thank all of our school families for the many kind words of support and prayers for our school's success as we transition our school administration.
